Personal Natural History

A sketchbook journal

1990 - present

This book gives me an outlet for dreams and doodles and images that do not require computers or great amounts of time or even an audience. I limit myself to the use of flesh-colored craft paper with red, white and/or red oxide paint, crayons, pencils or inks etc. This restriction allows me to explore as many 'styles' as I care to with great speed.

I started my book after living in Los Angeles in 1990 where I had the chance to visit the Tar Pits (black) and see the Joshua tree petroglyphs (red oxide on rock).

Here are some randomly selected pages for your perusal.
