Our judges really
liked the creative poses of which Alien B was capable, compared
to the static positioning of Alien A. Overall the judges found
Alien A was too human in appearance to be interesting, while
Alien B was clearly inhuman and therefore spookier.
Winner:

Again, our judges
called attention to Alien A's being so obviously stiff and
rubbery, while Alien B appeared realistically soft and fleshy.
(Note how Alien A's shoulders stand out horizontally while Alien
B's shoulders sag nicely.)

The panel felt
the creators of Alien B had done their homework better than the
folks who made Alien A. For example, A's vestigial ears and six
fingers and toes were all nicely done but not in keeping with
the standard "alien" description.
Winner:

And the title goes to:
Alien B
While Alien A (submitted anonymously) won points with our
panel for being done without the backing of a major studio, the
clear winner is Alien B, created by Steve Johnson's XFX company
for Showtime's
Roswell
telefilm.
Congratulations to both our contestants!
